Puppet company returning to Mold for half-term show

ONE of Wales’s most prestigious puppet companies is returning to Mold this half-term.

Following the success of the Pied Piper performances in October, Treasure Trove Puppet Company will be performing The Story of the Willow Pattern Plate at Clwyd Theatr Cymru.

“We have been performing to audiences throughout the UK with our productions since 1993 and find those theatres that have regular slots for the younger audiences are very well attended,” said Steve Sharples from the company.

“It has been my experience that parents are always on the look-out for somewhere to take their younger ones during key holiday periods and half-terms, especially if the weather isn’t looking too good.

“What could be better than a trip to your local theatre during the day, having a coffee in the cafe and enjoying a show?”

Steve added that if the shows are well attended the company may make visits to Mold a regular fixture in its calendar.

Treasure Trove Puppet Company will perform at Clwyd Theatr Cymru today (Thursday) and tomorrow at 11am and 2pm.
