Britpop idols Shed Seven to play Warrington

AFTER performances at huge summer festivals such as T in the Park and V Festival, Shed Seven have announced a UK winter tour, and will be at Warrington’s Parr Hall on Wednesday, December 12.

In November 2011 the band achieved success with a massive sell-out tour, and in conjunction with this released an EP marking the 15th anniversary of their celebrated 1996 album A Maximum High featuring new versions of four songs which had been reworked and re-recorded with an orchestral feel.

Following the success of the tour and the EP release, lead vocalist Rick Witter and the rest of the band will be back performing in Warrington for one night only.

The York Britpop band originally formed in 1990, and their biggest hit, Going for Gold, peaked at number 8 in March 1996.

The band also achieved success with 15 top 40 singles, and four top 20 albums.

Tickets for the gig are £17.50. Visit www.pyramidparrhall.com or call 01925 442345.
