CHESTER’S most glamorous life drawing class returns to The Laugh Inn this month with a fantasy-themed spectacular.
Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School’s latest evening, The Dragon Empress, will boast a sparkling performance from international showgirl Domino Burlesk.
The evening has been inspired by cult TV hit Xena: Warrior Princess and fantasy games such as World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons.
The Dr Sketchy movement, founded in New York in 2005, combines life drawing – with burlesque dancers as models – with music and live performances.
Visitors can expect cheeky poses, plenty of sketching challenges, ear-popping music, prizes – and all within a few feet of the bar.
Paper and pencils are provided and guests may bring their own materials – but these should be no messier than a neat watercolour set. No previous drawing experience is needed.
The event on Thursday, February 9, is open to over-18s only and guests are encouraged to dress up to match the evening’s theme. Tickets are at £8.50 or £6.50 for NUS students and are available from www.drsketchynorthwales.co.uk. For more information, call Madame Ex on 07970 855 289.
