Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Beach Boys tribute acts to play at Beechwood Community Centre in Runcorn
FROM the luxurious lounges of the Dunes and the Sands casinos, to the more modest surroundings of Beechwood Community Centre, the sound of two music legends are set to be recreated with loving authenticity.
Famed for their extraordinary friendship as much as the incredible voices which once lit up the Las Vegas strip, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin were the heart and soul of the legendary ‘rat pack’.
And on April 21, an act described by reviewer Mark Richie of entertainment newspaper The Stage as ‘one of the most impressive acts from the tribute market I have ever come across’ will bring some easy listening to Runcorn, when Anthony Adams and Neil Duncan return to the venue as Frank And Dean.
Before that on February 11, winter turns to summer when tribute act Good Vibrations bring the sound of The Beach Boys and a little slice of Kokomo to the venue.
The band features four experienced and talented professional musicians with many years of TV and radio between them. In the 1970s, then playing under the name McArthur Park, they regularly featured on Radio 1’s roadshows where they performed Beach Boys hits.
Promoter Trevor Payton said: “It’s virtually impossible to tell the difference between Good Vibrations and The Beach Boys, but judge for yourselves!”
Neil Duncan said: “We can’t believe that a whole year has passed since we appeared in Runcorn.
“We have very fond memories of the warm and friendly welcome given to us by the audience.
“This will be an evening of music, memories and mischief packed full of some of your favourite songs, plenty of humour and a few anecdotes!”
Tickets for both evenings, which also feature support from Halton artistes, priced £10 are available from the venue or Trevor Payton on 07906 869 919.
