Kate Bush tribute returns to Jolly Tar near Nantwich

KATE Bush fans will be running up that hill to get to the Jolly Tar in Wardle tomorrow (Thursday).

Named after her 1980 album, four piece band Never Forever pride themselves on being as close as fans can get to the real Kate Bush.

The show includes a collection of Kate’s greatest numbers and many lesser known gems, spanning 28 years, from 1978’s Wuthering Heights to 2005’s top 10 hit King of the Mountain.

Landlord Ray Bispham said: “They’re an excellent band playing all the Kate Bush hit songs. The show includes great theatrics – the singer not only has a great voice, but is also a trained ballet dancer – and many costume changes.”

Meanwhile, tonight sees the return of The Pepper Town Band for their fortnightly show.

The band, which always draws a crowd, promises a hugely entertaining jazz-filled slot.

Friday welcomes the return of good-time The Start.

With Graeme Malmam on vocals, Aidy Lloyd on guitar, Tony Tweats on bass, Adam Tweats on rhythm guitar and Andy Smith on drums, there’s plenty of pop, mod and punk in their set with covers from the likes of The Kooks, The Rifles and The Jam.

Finally on Saturday, it’s the turn of Mötley Crüe tribute Motley Crew UK.

They promise to accurately replicate the sound of the American glam-metal outfit, who scored Top 40 UK hits with Girls, Girls Girls, You’re All I Need and Without You.

All shows are free and bands start at 9.30pm. For further information, call the pub on 01270 528283 or visitwww.jollytarpub.co.uk.
