A CLASSIC thriller makes its way to The Lowry in Salford Quays next week direct from the West End, An Inspector Calls.
The week-long show has been directed by the Oscar-nominated Stephen Daldry, responsible for films such as The Reader, The Hours and one of Britain’s best-loved films Billy Elliot.
A theatre spokesman said: “Originally produced by the National Theatre, the epic staging, raw emotion and a sweeping score are just some of the ingredients that have made An Inspector Calls a smash hit all over the world, winning 19 major awards, more than any other play in history.
“When Inspector Goole arrives unexpectedly at the prosperous Birling family home, their peaceful dinner party is shattered by his investigations into the death of a young woman.
“His startling revelations shake the very foundations of their lives and challenge us all to examine our consciences.”
The show runs from Tuesday until Saturday, February 4. Tickets are priced £15-£24, to book call the box office on 0843 208 6000 or visit www.thelowry.com.
