Kings Grove High School presents Evita at Crewe’s Lyceum theatre

A CAST of more than 60 pupils are rehearsing hard ahead of the opening of a three-night run of Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Evita.

It features some of the most famous and inspiring stage music written, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, and was turned into a hit film starring Madonna in 1996.

The Kings Grove School pupils present the show at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe from February 1-3.

Head of music at the Buchan Grove school, Craig Morgan, says his team have been working hard to produced the annual spectacular.

Mr Morgan says: “I am very proud of all involved this year and feel extremely lucky as we were granted special permission to perform this show by The Really Useful Group.”

Shows start at 7.30pm and tickets are priced £4.50. To book phone the Lyceum box office on 01270 537333 or visit www.lyceumtheatre.net.
