Haslington youngsters to perform Mother Goose panto

A band of youngsters are about to put weeks of hard work and rehearsals to good effect when they perform traditional panto Mother Goose next week.

Haslington Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS) panto is the group’s 14th production to date, and their own rendition of the classic tale.

HATS publicity officer Lucy Newis says: “It’s a fast-paced and witty narrative of rags to riches and back again, via hilarious rivalry with local baddie squire Clarence Creep, bountiful golden eggs, spooky forests and the dastardly plans of evil fairy Dischord.

“Cheer along as Clarence and fairy Dischord meet their just desserts in a sparkling fairytale climax.

“There’s great support from our live music team and original dance routines provided by local group Masquerade.”

The show runs from January 26-28 at Yoxall Village Hall in Crewe Road, Haslington.

Tickets are £5, available from Fancy Pants Dress Hire in Haslington or on the door.

A licensed bar and refreshments will be available.
