David Essex brings All The Fun Of The Fair to Manchester Opera House

FOLLOWING its hit West End season at the Garrick Theatre where it was nominated for Best New West End Musical of 2010 by What’s On Stage, All The Fun Of The Fair, starring David Essex, returns to the Opera House Manchester this month.

Hugely popular singer, actor, composer and lyricist David Essex leads the cast of this musical – packed with his greatest hits – set in the world of a funfair.

The show is a rollercoaster ride of a musical, underscored by a helterskelter of David Essex hits like Winter’s Tale, Hold Me Close, Gonna Make You A Star, Me And My Girl – Nightclubbing, Silver Dream Machine and Rock On.

Inspired by Essex’s album All The Fun Of The Fair, he plays fun fair owner Levi Lee, recently widowed and father of a rebellious teenage son, Jack.

Dodgems and motorbikes, crafty cons and candy floss, fairground horses and fights, along with romance and rock and roll mean audience members are in for a rollercoaster of a ride.

All The Fun Of The Fair visits the Opera House, Quay Street, Manchester, from January 24-28, at 7.30pm, with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £17.50-£33.50 and are available from www.atgtickets/manchester or by calling 0844 871 3018.
