Cowley International College in St Helens to stage Phantom Of The Opera

COWLEY International College has become one of the first in the country to be given permission to stage Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical The Phantom Of The Opera.

The college said it has an excellent reputation for staging musicals which led to the performing rights for the show being released by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s company.

Cowley will present the same full version of the show that is currently running in London.

Cowley’s head of performing arts Shaun Chambers said: “We were thrilled to be granted the performing rights to produce the show at Cowley and the decision to award us the rights recognises the ambition and quality of musicals we have produced over the years.”

The show runs from February 22-24 at 7.30pm in Cowley’s purpose-built theatre on Hard Lane.

Tickets cost £6 and are available by emailing shaun.chambers@sthelens.org.uk or on 07798 647 805.
