Sir Paul McCartney’s magic will be recreated at the Jolly Tar in Wardle on Friday with a visit from The Macca Band.
Wirral-based Neil Tudor and bandmates Colin Gort, Steve Hunter, Mike Baird and Steve Lawson will play the best of Sir Paul McCartney, Beatles and Wings songs.
The band has been wowing audiences since performing their first handful of gigs earlier this year.
Hours have been spent in rehearsals honing and perfecting the close harmony vocal sound and switch instruments during the set to faithfully recreate the sound of each Macca era.
First though, tonight sees jazz outfit The Pepper Town Band return.
The band features several members of the popular Salt City Jazzmen and always draw a crowd, promise a hugely entertaining jazz-filled slot.
Regular favourites Steve Hayes and Les Hunt return tomorrow.
A venue spokesman said: “Expect some mighty fine guitar work, some great vocals and a little bit of stage banter from these boys. They are definitely a class act.”
And finally, on Saturday it’s the turn of Free and Bad Company tribute Free At Last.
Fans can expect Free songs to include Mr Big, All Right Now, The Stealer and My Brother Jake from Free and classic Bad Company tracks like Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love.
All gigs are free entry and start at 9.30pm. For more details call the pub on 01270 528283 or visit www.jollytarpub.co.uk
