Lyceum Theatre unveils spring season

Variety is at the forefront of the Lyceum Theatre’s spring season in Crewe.

A wide range of drama, music, comedy and fun is in store during the theatre’s centenary year.

With something to suit everyone, theatre-goers will be treated to a diverse range of entertainment from burlesque to drama, and opera to the circus.

Highlights are sure to include appearances from the world famous Moscow State Circus and the return of old-school comedian Freddie Starr, fresh from his appearance in ‘the jungle’ on I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

Other entertainment veterans sure to please again include quirky comic Jimmy Cricket and Gerry Marsden with his band in Gerry Across The Mersey.

Lyceum spokeswoman Philippa Unett says: “Also, don’t miss a night of sophisticated tease with The Burlesque Show, and the return of the Lady Boys of Bangkok, with their stunning show Carnival Queens.

“For drama fans there are five different plays to choose from – the psychological thriller Haunted, the comedy The Eligible Man, the drama Kiss Chase, the witty play DNA and the hilarious comedy The Cemetery Club.

“For the younger audience there is the fabulous Wheels on the Bus, Kidz Concert, The Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly, and The Little Princess.

“For classical music lovers there is plenty on offer from the opera The Merry Widow to Tenors UnLimited, and for those who like rock there is The Guns ’n’ Roses Experience and One Night of Queen.

“Also don’t miss the tribute to Michael Jackson in The Worlds’ Greatest Michael Jackson Concert, and The Dolly Parton Story. Also join the Drifters for a night of classic hits.”
