Gig-goers should prepare for anarchy in Crewe on Friday as the Sex Pistols Experience hit The Box.
The four-piece promise to recreate the outrage and sheer passion of their heroes and have spent a long time perfecting the look and sound, down to every last detail, making sure every live show they play is as dynamic and exciting as the originals.
They are now regarded as the world’s leading Sex Pistols tribute – a reputation built from more than 1,000 live shows made up from extensive tours of the UK, USA, Europe and South America.
Singer Johnny Rotter takes to the stage with all the manic, energy required to leave any audience as spell bound as the original Johnny Rotten.
The infamous Sid Vicious is recreated by Kid Vicious, the only noticeable difference being that unlike the iconic bassist Kid can actually play his instrument!
They are joined by guitarist Steve Bones and drummer Paul Crook for a set packed with era-defining songs such as Anarchy In The UK, Pretty Vacant and God Save The Queen.
The Sex Pistols achieved worldwide notoriety in 1977, the year that punk bands such as The Clash and Siouxsie and the Banshees stole the headlines on and off the stage and stormed the pop music charts with a number of anti-establishment records.
Also on the bill is former Pistols frontman Ed Tudor Pole – additionally known as frontman of Tenpole Tudor and as Richard O’Brien’s replacement as presenter on The Crystal Maze.
Now playing mainly acoustic shows, Ed treats his audiences to a delightful mix of punk, country and rock ‘n’ roll.
Doors open at 8pm and tickets are £12.50. To book in advance visit www.theboxcrewe.co.uk.
