Pantomime season gets underway with Cinderella at The Brindley

THE royal ball is now well and truly under way following the launch of this year’s Brindley panto.

Former Brookside stars Sarah White and Philip Oliver have reunited for what promises to be a real festive treat at the Runcorn arts venue.

Philip plays Buttons and Sarah is the wicked stepmother in the classic show which is full of the fun and frolics audiences would expect from panto.

Sarah has had a varied career in theatre and television but is probably best known for her regular role of Bev McLoughlin in C4’s Brookside, which earned her the Best Comedy Actress Award at the British Soap Awards.

She said: “There is something magical about panto and I just love to see people of all ages enjoying theatre.”

The production started its run on Saturday and finishes on January 8.

Tickets priced £11-£17 can be booked on 0151 907 8360.
