DOO-WOP sensations The Drifters make a return to the familiar surroundings of The Brindley in the New Year.
As one of the biggest-selling and longest-established bands of all time, The Drifters have sold more than 214 million singles and 114 million albums across the world.

The latest incarnation of the super group are no strangers to Runcorn, having sold out one gig there in February last year. The quartet said they were prepared to stage another show if Weekly News readers wanted it.
After the story ran, The Brindley was inundated with requests for tickets and the group doubled their number of dates at the venue to two.
This time the band have taken no chances and are pencilled in for two nights from the outset, on Thursday, February 2, and Friday, February 3.
Last month pupils at Aston Primary were joined by band member Michael Williams who put them through their paces with a sound check before they provided backing vocals for him in a performance of Rockin’ Robin in a show entitled Unforgettable at The Brindley.
A spokesman for the venue said: “After a sell out show in 2011 the soul legends return by public demand.
“Expect some of the group’s biggest hits including classics such as Saturday Night At The Movies, There Goes My First Love, Under The Boardwalk, and You’re More Than A Number in My Little Red Book.”
