Snow White is delighting families at the Lyceum in Crewe

THE curtain is up on the Crewe Lyceum panto, Snow White.

In the theatre’s centenary year, Imagine Theatre has returned with a cast to delight young and old in the festive traditional take on the classic fairytale.

In case you have forgotten, the Magic Mirror declares that Snow White is indeed the fairest girl in all the land and Prince Rupert offers her his hand in marriage.

This news sends the Wicked Queen into a jealous rage and dispatches her henchmen to take Snow White into the Enchanted forest and ensure she never returns.

Will he carry out this dastardly deed? Will the Dame and the Jester uncover this treacherous plot? And what about those seven little people who live in a tiny cottage in the enchanted forest?

Lyceum spokeswoman Philippa Unett said: “Join us in this sparkling new pantomime with spectacular sets and costumes, fabulous songs and dances and bags of knockabout slapstick fun!”

The show runs until December 31. Tickets are priced £13.50 with group discounts, to book call 01270 537333.
