Sir Paul McCartney to play Liverpool Echo Arena and Manchester MEN Arena

MUSIC icon Sir Paul McCartney heads home this Christmas with a stellar show at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Tickets are on sale now for the December 20 performance, which forms part of his On The Run tour.

Almost 50 years on from becoming a global superstar with The Beatles, Sir Paul is still leading the way in the music industry, and in July was voted the Best Live Act Of The Year at the UK Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef Awards, beating acts such as Muse, Green Day and Black Eyed Peas.

His latest tour kicked off with a two-night run at New York’s iconic Yankee Stadium and then took in six massive shows in North America and Canada.

Now he is heading home and, following shows in Abu Dhabi, Europe and Russia, will visit the Echo Arena and also Manchester’s MEN Arena.

He said: “Playing live is one of the most exciting parts of my job.

“I can’t wait to see you all for some wild nights of rock ‘n’ roll and partying.”
