MULTI-PLATINUM-SELLING band Switchfoot are to play Manchester Academy 2 this month.
The gig will come just after the release of their eighth studio album, Vice Verses, the follow-up to their Grammy-winning album Hello Hurricane. In support of the release, Switchfoot have announced a five-date UK tour.
Switchfoot, whose drummer Chad grew up in the UK, cite the British music scene as one of their biggest influences.
Chad said: “I grew up in and around London so Hyde Park and Regent’s Park hold great childhood memories.”
The band comprises Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (keys/guitar) and Drew Shirley (guitar).
Working with producer Neal Avron (Weezer, Linkin Park), they recorded most of the album in their San Diego home studio.
Switchfoot play Manchester Academy 2 on Monday, November 7. For details, call 0161 832 1111.
