Irish dance sensation In Love With The Dance comes to The Brindley in Runcorn

IN LOVE With The Dance is an Irish dance sensation, featuring world class Irish dancers, who are visiting The Brindley in Runcorn on October 14.

Some of Ireland’s most gifted traditional musicians will be playing whistles, uillean pipes, accordion, banjo and guitars, all providing the backdrop to a powerful display of Irish dance.

Promising a breathtaking showcase of the very best of Irish dance, music and song, In Love With The Dance takes the audience on a journey of love, sadness and exhilaration.

This year is an exciting one for the show with new championship dancers and musicians joining the team along with special guest, the hugely talented Ben Sands.

Ben has been singing folk with his sister and two brothers since the 60s as The Sands Family.

They have recently released their 16th album Keep on Singing, made countless television appearances, performed extensively in Ireland, UK, Europe, Canada and USA, including Carnegie Hall.

They have shared microphones with such folk luminaries as Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Tom Paxton, Harry Belafonte and Arlo Guthrie.

Brian Donnelly is the driving force behind the show. Having competed and won many a national and world title, plus dancing across the world in another Irish dance production, his passion for the dance has brought together this amazing team of 10 strong dance troupe and five musicians.

Brian said: “Irish dance has always played a huge part in my life.

“Since the age of eight, I have been fortunate to train and dance with many leading professionals across my competitive career.

“Irish music and dance is powerful and evokes all kinds of emotion in people, I want to share my passion for this with others.”

The show is now in its fourth year and is currently selling out venues across Ireland.

This year has already seen the show tour America, France and Germany and is now getting ready to hit the UK by storm.
