Tinker tailor soldier spy and Bridesmaids are highlights of Brindley film season

THE NEW film season at The Brindley starts today with the comedy film Bridesmaids.

Picked as her best friend’s maid of honour, lovelorn and broke Annie looks to bluff her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals with an oddball group of bridesmaids.

The film is showing at the venue today at 1.30pm.

The much talked about One Day starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess is showing on Thursday, October 6 at 1.20pm.

Two students who have spent the night together are shown each year on the same date.

There follows a big line-up of films including the creepy sci-fi thriller Super 8 on Thursday, October 27; stars John Hurt and Gary Oldman in the remake of the classic cold war espionage film Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy on Saturday, November 26 and the existentialistTree of Life starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn on Thursday, November 3.

The films are shown in the Brindley Studio and are priced £3.50 matinees, and £5 and £4.50 for evenings. Tickets can be booked on 0151 907 8360 or at www.thebrindley.org.uk
