South Cheshire dancers to perform with English Youth Ballet

FIVE talented dancers from South Cheshire will prove they’re the cream of the crop when they perform The Nutcracker in the English Youth Ballet.

The show opens at the Regent Theatre in Hanley on Friday.

It will feature Jenny Brennan School of Dance pupil Rebecca Elsmore, 11, of Church Lawton; X Academy’s Bethany Edwards, 10, of Crewe; Butterfly Dance Studio’s Tamsin Stakes, 11, of Haslington; fellow Butterfly Dance Studio pupil Elinor Hind, 10, of Crewe and Jenny Brennan School of Dance’s Brittany Leese, 15, of Sandbach.

They won the opportunity to dance alongside EYB’s stunning international principal artists in a professional production and undertook an intensive 11-day rehearsal process at Biddulph High School.

Company manager Ben Garner said: “Working with English Youth Ballet will probably be the highlight of these talented young dancer’s careers, to date.

“The audiences will see both top international principal artists and the best up-and-coming young talent from their region sharing the stage.”

Shows start at 7.30pm on Friday and at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday. Tickets are £18-£22, to book phone the box office on 0844 871 7649.
