Limehouse Lizzy return to The Box in Crewe

ONE of the most celebrated tribute bands in the UK, Limehouse Lizzy, make their return to The Box in Pedley Street, Crewe, on Saturday.

Formed in 1993 as a tribute to 70s rockers Thin Lizzy, Limehouse have appeared on the BBC and MTV.

They regularly play to packed crowds across the country.

Their name derives from Limehouse in London’s East End, where founder member and lead singer Wayne Ellis still lives.

A band spokesman said: “They continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide.

“Their attention to detail, playful audience interaction and that all important X-factor leaves you with the feeling of witnessing the real thing.”

Fans can expect more Celtic-influenced tracks, such as Whisky In The Jar and Black Rose, among classics like The Boys Are Back In Town.

Doors open at 8pm, advance tickets £12, visit www.theboxcrewe.co.uk.
