THE playwright behind box office smash Calendar Girls hosts a music extravaganza later this year.
Tim Firth will be compere for the Frodsham Charity Music Festival which takes place at the Forest Hills Hotel on Sunday, May 1, from 2pm-10pm.
This year’s line-up features eight live bands including X Stress, 2 Way Traffic, Retro, The Prefects, Common Ground, and the Undecided.
Also featuring are the Helsby High School Jazz Band and soloist Amy Bee.
A spokeswoman said: “Weather permitting the event will be held outside, or inside the Forest Hills if it’s raining.
“We ask that guests bring a chair to sit outside with, and ask that guests do not bring their own food and drink.
“There will be stalls available for guests to purchase food and drinks.
“Due to the event location the event is not suitable for young children.”
Tickets priced £10 can be bought from Halton Haven shops, 4th Frodsham Scouts, Forest Hills Hotel, Frodsham Computers or by calling 07836 335 108.
All profits go to Halton Haven, 4th Frodsham Scouts and MENCAP.
