Premier Queen tribute act QEII return to South Cheshire for gig at The Box

Stunning Queen tribute QEII will launch the first of The Box’s ‘Super Tribute’ nights this weekend.

Crewe’s dedicated live music venue has announced its attention to bring in the UK’s top 20 tribute bands over the coming months.

And to kick things off, one of the most successful outfits to have played The Limelight return to town on Saturday.

Entitled One Big Night of Queen, QEII will headline over six hours dedicated to the iconic rock legends.

Their amazing recreation of Queen’s defining live experience – The 1986 Magic Tour – forms the centrepiece.

Box owner Ray Bruchez says this is the start of bringing some of Crewe’s biggest draws back to tribute central.

“We’ve explored various avenues and while some markets have been difficult, we’ve also enjoyed some super successes,” he said.

“The management committee want to bring back the UK’s top 20 tributes to Crewe.

“No doubt one of the most successful bands to have played the Limelight were QEII, selling out successive nights and also staging an afternoon show.

“We want the major tributes because they put on the top shows. We’ve already confirmed T-Rextasy and Limehouse Lizzy along with Dressed To Kill and Electro 80’s”

While QEII’s incredible set dominates the evening, fans can warm up for the big gig with a DJ set of B-sides and rare tracks.

Following the gig, they can party hard in true Mercury fashion with a massive Queen disco of classics and remixes.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets are £8.
