ORGANISERS of the popular Creweroots gigs have announced a one-off return gig featuring folk artist Jackie Leven.
The 60-year-old Scot is considered one of Britain’s most under-rated talents, and he will be showcasing it at Square One in Mill Street, Crewe on Sunday.
Creweroots have previously welcomed Leven to South Cheshire for a gig enjoyed by scores of music lovers.
A spokesman said: “Jackie got in touch and said he should have been working in the studio but for one reason or another it’s fallen through, and so he’s putting a mini-tour together and would we be interested in putting him on?
“We’re not doing that monthly thing again but we can’t turn Jackie down – 65 turned out last time to see one of the very best performances we ever facilitated.”
Tickets are £8 in advance or £10 on the night.
To reserve tickets call in at the Richard Joseph salon on Edleston Road, phone 01270 213706 or email info@creweroots.co.uk
