AN INTERNATIONAL flavour comes to the next comedy night at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday, April 1.
The UK, Ireland and New Zealand are represented for the evening, which is hosted and compered by Mancunian Alex Boardman, who can often be found headlining all the big comedy clubs across the UK.
First up is Andy Askins from the North East, armed with a guitar and bucket load of cheeky charm and whose routine is littered with an eclectic mix of one-liners, surreal tangents, offbeat comic songs and parodies.
Next is Caimh McDonnell with his inimitable story-telling ability and gift for spinning tall tales.
And the final act is Kiwi comic Jarred Christmas, a familiar face to many on shows such as Mock The Week and One Night Stand.
He is also the face of the Pot Noodle adverts and most recently appeared as Madonna on BBC1’s Let’s Dance for Comic Relief.
Promoter Mike Ramm said: “This show marks our first year at Nantwich Civic Hall and the response we’ve had has been fantastic. At every show, without fail the acts comment on how welcoming our audience are.”
Doors open at 7.15pm and tickets are £9, available from the Civic Hall on 01270 537359 or online at www.civiccomedy.co.uk
