DJ collaboration London Guns set for set at The Box in Crewe

The Libertines meet Babyshambles for one huge night in South Cheshire as London Guns touch down at The Box in Pedley Street, Crewe, on Saturday.

The rise of electro has seen many indie outfits head in that direction – suddenly slapping beats and synth lines across a guitar-dominated songwriting style.

Enthralled by this new dance culture, Adam Ficek and Gary Powell decided to do something different by launching their new DJ/production project London Guns.

Both are established headline DJs in their own right, playing all over Europe for the last three years.

Playing only a handful of dates so far, it unites two veterans of iconic bands The Libertines and Babyshambles.

Reacting against the rise of what they feel are lazy DJs with too much software, London Guns aim to put some creativity back into the DJ booth.

Inspired by Belgian duo 2ManyDJs, the duo play unique, self produced mash up’s and re-edits fused with brand new downloads and some vinyl from the back of the crates.

However the Guns have still found room to introduce their trademark indie style as they mix live instruments in with their productions to add a whole new dimension to getting people on the floor.

Both drummers by trade, Adam Ficek and Gary Powell are swapping decks for sticks throughout a stunning set.

Alongside London Guns, Powell has recently launched his new group The Invasion Of while Ficek has embarked on a solo career since leaving Babyshambles behind in June last year.

Advance tickets are £8, and doors will open from 8pm.
