Hit musical Footloose comes to Rhyl Pavilion

FOOTLOOSE The Musical is heading back to the North West and will introduce Max Milner, who will grace the UK’s stages as Ren throughout 2011.

The cast will also include Steven Pinder as the Rev Shaw Moore.

Steven is perhaps best known for playing Max Farnham in long-running soap Brookside.

When too-cool-for-school teenager Ren McCormack dared to dance his way out of Chicago and into small town Bomont in the movie Footloose, an icon for the 80s was born.

The film’s title track went from gold to platinum to multi-platinum in record time, spawning one of the most famous guitar intros of all time.

The show thrilled West End audiences with its extended run at the Novello Theatre London in 2006 and following a third UK tour played a 2007 season at The Playhouse London.

The cast also includes Carys Gray, Lorna Want, Karen Ascoe, Jodie Jacobs, Keisha Amponsa Banson, Tanya Robb, Daniel Smith, Adam C Booth, Giovanni Spano, Michael Palmer, Ben Harris, Simon Campbell, Kirk Barker, Simon Hardwick, Natalie Andreou, Sarah Kitson, Lindsey Tierney, Katy Hards, Nikki Mullins and Rory Locke.

Directed and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Karen Bruce (Saturday Night Fever, The Wedding Singer, Never Forget, Fame), Footloose contains some of the slickest, sexiest dance routines you can see on stage.

Featuring a dynamic young cast, this fast-paced show is not only packed full of amazing dance but serves up some classic 80s anthems guaranteed to get you to your feet, including Holding Out For A Hero, Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear It For The Boy and the unforgettable hit title track.

Footloose comes to the Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl, from April 18-23. Tickets are priced from £17. Ring 01745 330000 or visit www.rhylpavilion.co.uk.
