All-day acoustic event at The Box in Crewe

A FRESH new take on the local music scene debuts at The Box in Pedley Street, Crewe, on Sunday.

The event, promoted by local music team Angry Badgers, offers a full day of acoustic music, performed live by a selection of the area’s most accomplished local artists.

Although branded as being at The Box, the event will actually be on a special, intimate stage downstairs at the venue, providing a chilled, relaxed atmosphere for the day’s entertainment.

A total of 15 acts are now confirmed and doors will open at 1pm, with the curtain expected to fall at about 10.30pm.

Performers include Richard Ault, Sam Astley, Jon Tarplee, Dayve Dean, Jason Johnston, Tom Seals and Phil Maddocks.

Organiser Nick Bayes said “We’re really looking forward to what we are sure will be a fantastic day of acoustic music.

“The inspiration for this Acoustic Lounge event came from the acoustic stage at last year’s Boxjam charity event, and we have invited an excellent selection of musicians to perform for us, some local and some from further afield.”

Tickets are £5 for the full day, available on the door only.
