Disney stars skates into the Echo Arena next week for a magical family adventure.
Disney on Ice, which runs from Wednesday until Sunday, March 6, is an original story which invites audiences to relive their fondest memories of Disneyland, as they join favourite characters and classic villains in a fun-filled theme park adventure.
Produced by Feld Entertainment, Disneyland Adventure features an array of favourite Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Baloo, Disney Princesses Snow White and Cinderella, Stitch, Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles and Buzz Lightyear.
In this spectacular production, the ‘Fabs’ – Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto – decide to take a vacation of their own and enjoy Disney’s most popular theme park attractions.
In one fun-filled scene after another, Donald and Goofy attempt to join in the fun, resulting in a series of comical mishaps.
But it’s no laughing matter when the evil fairy Maleficent shows up to spoil the fun, and Mickey must enlist The Incredibles to save the day.
Creative director Jerry Bilik sought to capture favourite memories from the Disney parks.
He said: “This show is designed for people of all ages. Interwoven into the parade of attractions and characters are moments of subtle humour for adults, physical comedy and interaction for children, groovy music and some creepy thrills that the entire family will enjoy.”
Whether Mickey and Minnie are meeting beloved Disney characters such as Alice and the Mad Hatter, Stitch and Buzz Lightyear or experiencing popular attractions such as Space Mountain and It’s A Small World, every element of the show, from the skating to the lighting and costumes, was designed to capture the fun, nostalgic atmosphere of Disneyland in the early 1960s.
Disney On Ice runs from March 2-6. Tickets are priced from £18-£35. To book, visit www.echoarena.com or telephone the box office on 0844 8000 400.
