Mutha Humbucker ready to rock at The Cross Keys pub in Crewe

TOP tribute band Mutha Humbucker promise a roaring return to the Cross Keys pub in Remer Street, Crewe on Saturday.

The four-piece formed six years ago, having been friends at school 10 years previously.

During that time they had dabbled with other bands – singer Ady Moscati was in 3rd Element, guitarist Jim Ellis was in Pink Cadillac, while drummer Steve Hadzik and bassist Rudi Heinemann had been the rhythm section of Atomic Finger.

They started putting a set of classic and contemporary tunes together and practised in whichever pub had a spare back room.

The aim has always been to have fun and to entertain.

At the beginning of last year Rudi made way for Chris Renshaw, who joined up having parted company with local act Firestorm.

The lads have been touring the North West, taking in Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire, the Midlands and North Wales.

Their repertoire covers bands such as Def Leppard, AC/DC, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Whitesnake, Stereophonics and Kings of Leon among others.

They have an energetic stage presence, a big sound and an endless number of encores to keep you entertained.

Cross Keys bar and entertainment manager Pete Horne said: “These guys are probably the biggest band we’ve put on yet and are probably the best round here at what they do.

“It’s going to be a huge night and I think plenty of people will be down to see them.”

The music will get under way from about 9pm. For further information phone the pub on 01270 255275.
