QUIZ show panellist, author and former radio presenter Phill Jupitus will take the leading role of King Arthur in musical spoof Spamalot at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
Jupitus is the longest-serving member of the Never Mind the Buzzcocks team and one-time host of 6Music’s breakfast show.
The larger than life character also regularly appears on BBC show QI and BBC Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue.
More recently, North West people will be more acquainted with him as author of Good Morning Nantwich!.
Spamalot is the famous Monty Python take on the legendary tale of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table.
It features a bevy of beautiful showgirls, not to mention cows and killer rabbits.
Specially-written songs include He Is Not Dead Yet, Knights Of The Round Table, Find Your Grail and they have also incorporated Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
Spamalot runs in Manchester from Monday until Saturday, February 12. Shows start at 7.30pm, with 2.30pm matinees on the Wednesday and Saturday.
