QUIZ show panellist, author and former radio presenter Phill Jupitus will take the leading role of King Arthur in musical spoof Spamalot at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
Jupitus is the longest-serving member of the Never Mind the Buzzcocks team and one-time host of 6Music’s breakfast show.
The larger than life character also regularly appears on BBC show QI and BBC Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue.
More recently, South Cheshire will be more acquainted with him as author of Good Morning Nantwich!.
The show is the Monty Python take on the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
It features a bevy of beautiful showgirls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people.
Songs include He Is Not Dead Yet, Knights Of The Round Table, Find Your Grail and, of course, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
Spamalot runs in Manchester from Monday until Saturday, February 12. Shows start at 7.30pm, with 2.30pm matinees on the Wednesday and Saturday.
