Flamenco guitarist Juan Martin to do solo show at Everyman Playhouse on January 29

FLAMENCO guitar virtuoso Juan Martín returns to Liverpool for a solo show following the success of Blood Wedding.

The dazzling performer will be at the theatre for one night only on Saturday.

A celebrated virtuoso of the flamenco guitar, Juan Martín has been voted into the top three guitarists in the world by US magazine Guitar Player.

A native of Andalucía, where he still has a home in Málaga, Martín’s music is imbued with the traditions of the flamenco style of his homeland.

Martín wowed Liverpool audiences during Capital of Culture Year when he composed the score, and played live, in Ted Hughes’s adaptation of Lorca’s Blood Wedding at the Playhouse.

He now returns to showcase his talent again, this time with a solo show at the Everyman.

Since he began his career in the 1980s Martín has spent much of his time on tour where his flair and finesse have helped promote flamenco to a worldwide audience.
