Verity Rushworth joins Jason Donovan to star in The Sound Of Music at Hanley’s Regent Theatre

FORMER Emmerdale star Verity Rushworth has been confirmed to play the role of Maria in The Sound Of Music, which comes to the Regent Theatre, Hanley, next month.
She joins Jason Donovan, who will play Captain Von Trapp, in the touring production.
Verity is probably best known for her role as Donna Windsor in the ITV soap, but has West End credits to her name including Hairspray.
The show runs from February 15 until March 5. Tickets are priced from £20.50-£43. To book, phone the box office on 0844 871 7649.
