Flawless head a packed spring season for the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe

BRITAIN’S Got Talent finalists and street dance champions Flawless head an impressive spring season at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe.

Their amazing talents will hit the stage in March as part of a national tour.

Keeping on the TV talent contest theme, a cluster of Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor stars come together in entertainment show G* Mania.

Lovers of plays are not let down again, with three shows in the pipeline – hilarious comedy thriller Busybody, That’s Love and classic Victorian drama Cranford.

For fans of comedy, blue-mouthed comic Roy Chubby Brown is back while The Bradshaws’ ‘TTFN’ Tour will showcase rib-cracking comedy sketches, catchy choruses and daft bits from a lifetime on the radio.

There’s loads of on offer for music lovers. The season opens with musical extravaganza The Bon Jovi Experience performing the world-famous rock band’s greatest hits including Livin’ On A Prayer and Keep The Faith.

There is also The 80s Rocked, showcasing all your favourite rock anthems live and loud, Rolling Stones tribute The Stones with their energy and excitement, and Elvis Presley is alive and well in the form of top tribute artist Rob Kingsley.

Meanwhile, bringing back the good old days is returning show That’ll be The Day, and fantastic tribute act Oasish recreate the Britpop era by replicating the Gallagher brothers’ band.

For the more traditionalist theatre-goer, there is exciting Las Vegas-style show One Night In Vegas and The Syd Lawrence Orchestra in On The Beat.

And there’s also the beautiful sound of Karen Carpenter in Voice Of The Heart: Karen Carpenter, while pop sensation the Bay City Rollers are brought back to life through original member Les McKeown in Rollermania.

Classic entertainment comes in the form of The Big Ballet: Size Does Matter Tour, a comedy ballet of weighty elegance and adorable humour and for classical music lovers Opera Del Luna presents The Sorcerer by Gilbert and Sullivan.

For something more educational and aimed at the kids try the Science Museum: Live On Tour and experience spectacular science, dangerous demonstrations and extraordinary experiments as London’s world-famous Science Museum takes to the stage for the first time ever with a fantastic live show to blow your mind and challenge your brain.

Elsewhere, psychic Sally Morgan returns and explorer Stephen Venables will be bringing Shackleton’s extraordinary expedition to life.

And don’t forget to check out the great variety of local talent on offer at the Lyceum, including Crewe Amateur Musical Society’s Jesus Christ Superstar and The Yvonne School of Dancing’s Showtime.

Lyceum spokeswoman Philippa Unett said: “Theatre-goers will be treated to a diverse array of shows, including hilarious comedies, thrilling dramas and sensational musicals, with a few household names thrown in for good measure. What more could you ask for?”
