POPULAR South Cheshire family band Beardsmith will be at the Jolly Tar on Christmas Eve (Friday).
The six-piece, comprising father Neil, sons Graham, Gary, Ged and Gill and daughter Alice, have built up a sterling reputation throughout the UK.
Such is their ability to play together and complement each other as a family that they were declared the winners of GMTV’s ‘Number One Family’ competition.
Through the show, they went on to undertake an intensive recording session to release their first full album, the festive-themed A Family Christmas.
The family, who live in Poole just outside Nantwich, have been gigging extensively throughout the country but still give many performances locally for their faithful army of fans under the name constructed from their double-barrel surname Beard-Smith.
The band performs mainly pop and rock classics while throwing in a smattering of their own material.
The gig starts at 9.30pm and tickets are £5, on sale now.
Tonight sees the return of the Pepper Town Band – members of the Salt City Jazzmen playing jazz the traditional way.
Meanwhile The Start get going tomorrow to cover bands like The Kooks, The Rifles and The Jam.
Both shows are free and start at 9.30pm.
On Sunday there is a special Boxing Day gig featuring The Adams-Jovi Experience – first set devoted to Bryan Adams and the second set to Bon Jovi.
The gig starts at 9.30pm and tickets are £5, on sale now.
