Calendar Girls comes to Venue Cymru in Llandudno
CALENDAR Girls has been the fastest selling tour ever and has triumphed in the West End.
Now a new set of Calendar Girls will be touring the country, arriving at Venue Cymru in Llandudno from August 9-14.
The production stars Denise Black, Jean Boht, Jennifer Ellison, Julia Hills, Ruth Madoc, Mikyla Dodd, Elaine C Smith with Joe McGann as John and Wales’ own national treasure Margaret John as Lady Cravenshire.
A group of ordinary women, members of a very ordinary Yorkshire WI, spark a global phenomenon by persuading one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference.
As interest snowballs, the Calendar Girls find themselves revealing more than they’d ever planned.
Frodsham writer Tim Firth has adapted the screenplay of his smash hit film for the stage. The film – starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters – was released in 2003 and was an instant hit at the box office.
