Reverend and The Makers play The M CLub in Crewe this month.

HEADLINE favourites Reverend and The Makers will be preaching their gospel at The M Club in Crewe this month.

The band made their breakthrough in 2007 with the top 10 chart success Heavyweight Champion of the World.

They had a busy 2009 supporting Oasis on some of the summer super-gigs including the opening night in Heaton Park in Manchester and three nights at Wembley in London.

They also headlined the Love Music, Hate Racism festival in Stoke earlier this summer as well as Sheffield Tramlines in July, and completed a whistle-stop busking tour of the UK where they turned up unannounced at several town centres a day and played tracks from the latest album A French Kiss in the Chaos.

As well as playing with Reverend and the Makers, lead man Jon McClure is involved with the cultural and political project Instigate Debate.

This was started last year by Jon, Carl Barat and the journalist Mark Donne and amongst its aims is to engage young people who feel disenchanted by the current political landscape.

The gig is on March 14. Tickets are £13.75, to book visit www.themclub.co.uk and for more information phone the club on 01270 216785.
