BRITISH star Anita Harris has returned to the Lyceum theatre in Crewe this week in Francis Durbridge’s Fatal Encounter.
The Ian Dickens production arrived on Monday and continues to play until Saturday.
The tale centres around Howard Mansfield, who becomes concerned for his wifeŠJoanna, when she becomes unusually distressed and nervous.
When he arrives home one day to find she has accidentally shot his former friend Perry during a struggle, he decides to protect her by confessing to the shooting himself.
Lyceum spokeswoman Philippa Unett says: “Although the police accept that the shooting was an accident, Perry’s death leaves Howard caught up in a web of international blackmail, conspiracy and attempted murder.
“Plenty of twists and turns ensue to keep the audience guessing until the final unexpected showdown.”
Joining Anita in the cast is former Eastenders actor Nicholas Ball, theatre veteran Neil Stacy and regular Ian Dickens’ actor Michael Kirk.
Shows start at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee performance on Saturday.
Tickets cost £9.50-£17.50, to book phone the box office on 01270 537333 or visit www.lyceumtheatre. net.
