Innovative theatre company unveils The Dreadful Hours at Liverpool Everyman

LIVERPOOL-based company Tmesis Theatre will première their biggest and most innovative collaboration to date, The Dreadful Hours, at the Liverpool Everyman from February 11-13.

This new work will see Tmesis Theatre’s Yorgos Karamalegos and Elinor Randle combine their trademark physicality with the acclaimed writing of Chris Fittock to create a darkly comic drama that explores the quiet crumbling of love’s first flourish through the lifetime of one couple’s relationship.

Peepolykus’s master of the ridiculous, Javier Marzan directs what is sure to be an inventive production full of striking visuals.

The Dreadful Hours was first brought to life following a series of workshops with local writers in 2007, with Tmesis collaborating with Fittock for two weeks on the short piece, which experimented with different styles of text and movement.

Having gained further praise at the Liverpool Everyman’s Everyword Festival in July 2008, Tmesis and Fittock expanded their partnership to include Marzan.
