Debutant playwright Fiona Peek’s Salt comes to Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre

MANCHESTER’S Royal Exchange Theatre brings its current Studio season to a close with the world premiere of Salt from February 3-20.

Set over the course of five dinner parties in a plush London basement kitchen, Fiona Peek’s debut play explores four thirty-somethings’ recipe for life, love, friendship and disaster.

Amy and Simon have the children and money that life has so far denied Nick and Rachel, so when a simple act of charity enables their friends to hold onto their dreams, it’s not long before food, fertility and finances reach boiling point and brings everything bubbling to the surface.

An impressive cast includes debut RET performances by Simon Chadwick, Beth Cordingley (Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Dead Set, The Bill) and Olivier Award nominee, Kevin Harvey (for Yellowman).

And making a welcome return to the Exchange, following her performance in A Whistle in the Dark, is Esther Hall.
