Irish singing star Mary Duff to perform live at Chester Cathedral

THE Voice of an Angel will fill the magnificent setting of Chester Cathedral when Irish singing star Mary Duff comes to perform on Friday, February 5.

Mary’s phenomenal talent as a singer is matched by her great stage presence and charisma.

She first got the chance to showcase her talent at just 12 years of age when, by chance, her father heard her singing on a home tape recorder, and recognised she had quite a talent.

She entered and won the Sunday World Nationwide Talent Competition in Ireland, which led to her being signed to Ritz Records.

She also auditioned for, and was offered, the special guest slot on Daniel O’Donnell’s first UK concert tour.

Mary is married to Paul McKenna, who is now her manager and splits his time between running their business, Newtown Country Club, and being on the road with Mary for her concert tours.

The Chester Voice of an Angel concert is at 8pm and Charlie Landsborough and Marc Roberts will be special guests.

Tickets cost £30, £25 and £10 and are available from www.chestercathedral.com or on 01244 500959.
