Debutant playwright Fiona Peek’s Salt comes to Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre

MANCHESTER’S Royal Exchange Theatre brings its current Studio season to a close with the world premiere of Salt from February 3-20.

Set over the course of five dinner parties in a plush London basement kitchen, Fiona Peek’s debut play explores four 30-somethings’ recipe for life, love, friendship and disaster.

Amy and Simon have the children and money that life has so far denied Nick and Rachel so, when a simple act of charity enables their friends to hold on to their dreams, it’s not long before food, fertility and finances reach boiling point and brings every- thing bubbling to the surface.

The cast includes debut RET performances by Simon Chadwick, Beth Cordingley (Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Dead Set, The Bill) and Olivier Award nominee Kevin Harvey (for Yellowman).

And making a welcome return to the Exchange, following her performance in A Whistle in the Dark, is Esther Hall.
