TV comedy star Chris Addison to bring stand-up show to The Lowry in March

CHRIS Addison, star of BBC 2’s award-winning comedy The Thick Of It, is embarking on a national tour which comes to The Lowry at Salford Quays in March.

Addison can also be heard hosting 7 Day Sunday, a new live topical show on BBC Radio 5 Live and is set to appear in the new series of Channel 4’s Skins.

The tour sees Addison return to the stand up that made his name and promises his trademark mix of daftness, whimsy, jokes, lies and flapping about.

As well as The Thick Of It, Addison is familiar to TV audiences from his appearances on shows like Live at the Apollo (BBC 1), Have I Got News For You (BBC 1) and Tonight with Jonathan Ross (BBC 1), and his own BBC 2 sitcom Lab Rats.

As a live performer he has taken five solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe – two of which saw him nominated for the Perrier Award.

He can be seen at The Lowry on Thusday, March 11. For booking information, ring 0870 111 2000 or visit www.thelowry.com.
