Japanese Voyeurs come to The Box in Crewe on January 29

JAPANESE Voyeurs have taken the core ingredients of grunge, their love of rock and raucous guitars and added their own ferocious slant.

In contrast to angel-faced singer Romily Alice, the result is a sound that is currently nailing jaws to the floor across the UK rock scene.

They come to The Box in Crewe tomorrow, following the release of underground rocket Sicking and Creaming.

Explaining the band’s ethos, Romily said: “Loud music can solve all of your problems. Who needs therapy when you’ve got escapism?”

Main support comes from The Troops of Mafeking who hail from Alsager, so they are close to home turf, and have supported the likes of The Subways, Eighties Matchbox, Twin Atlantic, Cage The Elephant, The Joy Formidable, and Johnny Foreigner.

They have been likened to Queens of the Stone Age and the Foo Fighters.

Further support comes from emerging talents Angel Ranges and Echo Of Ages.

Doors at The Box are open from 8pm. Entry is £5.
