National Youth Orchestra visits Victoria Hall in Hanley

CLASSICAL music fans are in for a treat at Hanley’s Victoria Hall as the National Youth Orchestra stop off for their first concert of 2010 on Wednesday, January 6.
Following their performance at the BBC Proms this summer, Vasily Petrenko brings the NYO for its first Potteries visit since a sell-out performance in 2003.
Amongst the schedule for this concert are Rachmaninov’s The Rock, Bartók’s Concerto For Orchestra and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.5.
