The Sound of Music arrives at Manchester’s Palace Theatre

MUSICAL star Connie Fisher returns in the lead role of The Sound of Music at Manchester’s Palace Theatre, which has started a month-long run.

Fisher shot to fame in BBC One talent-spotting show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? in 2006.

She spent 18 months in the West End production, and is back for the North West run.

She will be performing all the favourite songs, including My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi and The Lonely Goatherd, in the story of the Von Trapp family’s flight across the mountains.
