LEADING British folk singer-songwriter Kate Rusby brings her highly acclaimed music to Hanley’s Victoria Hall tonight (Wednesday).
She was voted Best Live Act at the 2006 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and is one of the few folk singers enjoying a wider success outside her genre.
Known as the Barnsley Nightingale, she has been on the scene for more than a decade, blending traditional folk with her childhood songwriting.
Rusby has headlined various national folk festivals and is one of the few folk singers to have been nominated for a Mercury Prize.
The show starts at 8pm and fans will hear the likes of Who Will Sing Me Lullabies and No Names.
For tickets, priced £18.50, phone the box office on 0844 871 7649.
