The Raveonettes return to play Manchester’s Ruby Lounge

THE Raveonettes return to the live North West music scene this month to promote their fourth album In And Out of Control.

Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo are both Danish-born and are residents in New York and Los Angeles respectively.

Last time The Raveonettes toured, they were pushing their successful Lust Lust Lust album in 2007.

Since then Sharin has become a mother and the duo filled a hole with three download-only EP releases late last year.

Sune said: “We always hated repeating ourselves so we set the bar really high for In And Out Of Control.”

So back to Denmark they went to spend three “gruelling” months writing, recording and mixing the entire album with Thomas Troelson, whose previous production credits include Junior Senior and DFA.

The aim was to make a “pop” album which is demonstrated by tracks such as Last Dance, Bang! and Breaking Into Cars.
